Chairman of the Polk County Law Enforcement Memorial, Ricky Newman, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the organization and presented the City with a commemorative plaque in recognition of its support in the 2026 Polk County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.
The proclamation honors the courageous men and women of law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while recognizing the lasting impact their service has had on their families, fellow officers and the communities they protected.
